The act of squirrel removal is as simple as removing a squirrel from your home, chimney, attic space, attic crawlspace, walls, floorboards or anywhere in your home.

Typically squirrels find their way into the attic crawlspace. once a female squirrel chews into the attic she will begin the nesting cycle. This includes making a nest of sorts to have her baby squirrels and care for them. This is when squirrel removal is key to prevention.

One the signs that you have a squirrel removal issue is noises in the walls or noises in the attic space in the evening. In fact a majority of people find it impossible to sleep due to the amount of noise the average squirrel or squirrels can cause. This is why we get calls in the first place.

Squirrel removal or the act of squirrel trapping a squirrel from the attic is only the first step. The fact is that a squirrel in the attic is a learned action for the culprit squirrel. Female squirrels brought up in a attic space or eave of your house learns that this is a great place to raise and care for their young. so trapping the existing squirrel is not always the end of the issue. Make sure that your pro has a warranty to cover such issues.

How do you get rid of squirrels in the attic? Why are the squirrels in my attic? who will humane trap a squirrel? Greensboro, NC remove a squirrel from my house, House squirrel. I have a squirrel in my fireplace. I hear noises at night in the ceiling and I can’t sleep. Squirrels will chew electric wiring and can cause fires. Who can remove a squirrel from my house? who can remove a squirrel from my business? A squirrel chewing in a church attic cannot be a good thing. When do squirrels sleep? Squirrels are rodents and they have to chew to keep their teeth manageable. Snap traps wont always kill a squirrel, in fact if they get trapped in a snap trap and don’t die immediately they can pull themselves into your wall and die. When a squirrel dies in the walls it can take several weeks for the dead animal smell to go away. A dead squirrel in floorboard can be a stinky situation. Winston NC has a dead animal in a wall, ceiling, attic and crawlspace  problem it’s called pest control lol. Pest control paid employees do not have your best interest in mind most often. Paid pest control employees are not accountable for the work they do in a court of law.

Trapping a squirrel can be difficult. Greensboro state legislation can call meetings about squirrel damage from time to time. Insurance companies in Greensboro, NC has yet to find policy that covers the damage that can be caused by the chewing and attic damage .  One would think that attic chewing from the squirrel that causes fire damage would be covered. fire damage is contributed to rodents across the united states and  still the insurance companies refuse to cover preventative measures or preventative exclusion work . You would think that the insurance company would want an insurance against future damages. We choose our battles and hope for the best in squirrel removal practices and the hopes that an industry standard will become squirrel removal standard.

I have been trapping squirrels and removing squirrels from attics, eaves and chimney spaces for many years. Though one squirrel removal always comes to mind when people ask my about my wildlife adventures.

It was half way into the fall season and I received a call about a squirrel that had chewed its way into a cabin attic in a near by state park. So I packed my truck with traps and other equipment I thought I may need. Better to have more than not enough I always say.

Tim the park ranger led my to the cabin and I could see right away the softball sized hole in the side of the cabin. Piece of cake I thought as I approached the cabin ladder in hand.

I threw up the ladder and began to climb with flashlight in hand to investigate the opening. Can anyone figure out were I made a mistake?

As I turned the flashlight on and peeked into the hole I found what I should have figured I would find, A squirrel and she was not happy!

Again it was half way thru fall and I had a bulky jacket on but it was unzipped so I could climb the ladder a little easier and as that light hit the squirrel she did what any scared squirrel would do. She tried to escape and escape she did. She ran out of the hole a crossed my chest and straight into the back of my jacket. Now I am a seasoned wildlife removal professional but when faced with a wild squirrel in your jacket against your skin and about twenty feet up in the air certain thoughts will run through your mind trust me!

I tried remain calm and eventually the squirrel worked its way out of my jacket and was gone. I climbed down the ladder to receive laughter and heckling from the rangers and learned a valuable lesson. Since then I trap the squirrel first and then investigate the damage.

Even squirrel removal can be dangerous and difficult. It is always best to have a professional to remove your squirrel problem. Trap , remove and then exclude the squirrel to prevent future occurrences .

I will always remember my first time trapping a raccoon mom and her pups out of an attic. It was a large home over 3500 square feet.  The attic had boards across the truss’ so it was pretty easy to maneuver in the attic thankfully for me. I was only in the attic a short time before I found the first signs of the raccoon living in the attic. Droppings or raccoon feces were piled up in a corner and as I have been trained I began to strategically place my traps.

I was so intent on what it was that I was doing that I did not notice the female raccoon in the other corner of the attic staring straight at me. She had her young not from from where I was setting traps and she was nervous!

As I was finishing I heard the tell tail noise of one angry raccoon and as I turned towards the noise I saw her as she was running across one of the boards right at me. I did they only thing I could! I scream and swung my flashlight at her and luckily she ran past and hid in the other corner with here young, growling loudly.

My heart beating fast and my nerves completely shot I left the attic to the mother raccoon till the next day. I have to tell you I was contemplating my choose at this career.

The next day though I found that the mother raccoon and all her young were trapped safely in the traps I placed.

That was several years ago but it goes to show at how dangerous a raccoon in the attic can be. When thinking about raccoon removal in Greensboro, NC it is best to use a Professional!
